Heaven and Hell Concept: Where Did It Originate? The Facts May Surprise You!

EVEN CHRISTIANITY IS IGNORANT ABOUT THIS, SO SOME CHRISTIAN SECTS PREACH A "HEAVEN and HELL" GOSPEL. I SAY THIS TO SOME CHRISTIANS "DID YOU KNOW THAT THE WORD 'GOSPEL' ACTUALLY MEANS 'GOOD NEWS' NOT 'SCARY NEWS? PEOPLE HAVE ENOUGH OF THAT OVER THE NEWS MEDIA." PLUS, I'M NOT IN FAVOR OF SCARING PEOPLE INTO ETERNITY: I THINK THE EMPHASIS IS WRONG - FINDING JESUS IS NOT MEANT TO BE A 'FIRE ESCAPE' IT'S THE BEST RELATIONSHIP WE WILL EVER EXPERIENCE IF WE CARE TO BE CLOSE TO HIM.

It is my personal belief, based on what I now know to be true, the only Hell that exists is the one (figuratively speaking) on this Earth with the Evils there are in this World and the awful things people experience.

SO FACTS ARE:
There is a Second Death Jesus referred to, that is a Spiritual Death, but not an Endless Tormenting Place, created by a Sinister Vengeful God that Religions make Him out to be (if they think about it) that depicts the Devil's nature rather than God. I find it Slanderous and it never sat well with me.

That's an Awful Misinterpretation of a Holy God and a Loving Creator!!!
I asked Him about the 'Hell Concept' different times and this is what I discovered
when I did not expect to. So this could answer questions that many people
have had - including Christians.

There's a Bible Research Website I found a few years ago that is run by two very interesting and thorough Bible Researchers who cover different Topics on disturbing things which cause Confusion due to Some Errors in Interpretation by the Catholic and King James Translators.

The Same Error found it's way into Other Bible Translations
after that.

These Bible Researchers and some Christians have, and people have heard some Preachers say on some occasions.

Because the existence of a 'Hell' has caused such great Fear and Trauma to many people, and because the words Hell and Torment are actually totally absent in the Original Greek and Hebrew Bible Manuscripts, Rick and Jonathan discovered........they researched this phenomena in Church History, and Various Sources of Ancient History across the World and found out something that will bring great relief
to many.

THEY TRACED IT RIGHT BACK TO AN ANCIENT EGYPTIAN PAGAN FANTASY WHICH OVER TIME GOT PROPAGATED IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES AND CULTURES ACCROSS THE WORLD - HAVING NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BIBLE, BIBLE DAYS (THE JEWS OR ISRAELITES) AND WE FIND THOSE 2 WORDS HELL and TORMENT WERE ADDED IN THE KJB KINGS JAMES BIBLE and OTHER TRANSLATIONS IN IGNORANCE EVER SINCE. IT WAS USED AS A SECULAR THING BEFORE IT EVER GOT INTO CHURCHES.

I found out something interesting as well. One of their discoveries about the "Hell and Torment" Egyptian Fantasy was that Egypt decided to use it to Control the People, so they didn't commit Violence and other things. Countries that far back in time did not have a "Law and Judicial System" in those days, so other Countries around Egypt decided it would be an effective Scare Tactic to control their People too, so they would behave better. This spread to other Countries Worldwide and eventually, it made it's way into the Religious Systems including the Church of Rome and King James in England, who was interested to have a Bible Translation for the People of England. Once those Two Words were added by Bible Translators in Rome and England, it became Common Practice for other Translators to keep them there (pretty much on a permanent basis since then.)

On one of their Webpages about the Topic of Hell called
"What is the History of Hellfire?" you find these Words written there:

In ancient Babylonian and Assyrian beliefs the “Nether World….is pictured as a place Full of Horrors, and is presided over by Gods and Demons and of great strength and fierceness.” (The Religion of Babylonia and Assyria, Boston, 1898, Morris Jastrow, Jr., pg. 581) Early evidence of the fiery aspect of Christendom’s hell is found in the religion of Ancient Egypt. (The Book of The Dead, New Hyde Park, N.Y., Buddhism, which dates back to the 6th century B.C. in time came to feature both hot and cold Hells. Depictions of Hell portrayed in Catholic Churches in Italy have been traced back to Ethruscan Roots.

But the real roots of this God-Dishonoring Doctrine go much deeper. The fiendish concepts associated with a Hell of Torment SLANDER GOD and originate with the Chief Slanderer of God (the Devil, whose name means “Slanderer”), the one whom Jesus Christ called “The Father of the Lie” (John 8:44 Open in Logos Bible Software)

So as you can see ......Hell and Torment is actually a Pagan Babylonian Belief that should not be taught or endorsed by Christians or ANY Religion on this Earth. It is Very Damaging spiritually, mentally and emotionally. And is a Misrepresentation
of what God's Nature is all about.

Etruscan Religion: Having to do with Gods & Goddesses. It's also comprised of The essential belief that Human Life was but One Small Meaningful Element in a Universe Controlled by Gods.

Etruscan religion comprises a set of stories, beliefs, and religious practices of the Etruscan Civilization, heavily influenced by the Mythology of Ancient Greece, and sharing similarities with concurrent Roman Mythology and Religion.

If HELL is an Ancient Egyptian Fantasy and Babylonian Belief......
HOW did it get into Christianity?

Good Question! Like I said, Egypt actually used HELL as a Scare Tactic NOT to Commit Violence Etc They basically Controlled the People that way, so they would not do the Wrong Thing. Other Countries did the same (it spread Worldwide)

Countries in the World did not have a LAW SYSTEM like we have Today to Restrain People from doing Wrong to their Fellowmen, and the Hell Phenomena seemed a "Good Idea" to them. So that's what they did (they adopted it)

But HOW did this "HELL and TORMENT" get into the CHRISTIAN BIBLE?

One definite Answer to that Friends......PAPAL ROME took over CHRISTIANITY for a Time, after the Roman Emperor Constantine considered it as a Threat to His Empire. He made it a State Institution so he could gain Control over it (in 330AD) and Christians of that time were made to Meet in Buildings instead of the Lovely Fellowship they had in their Houses........

And the Roman Catholic Empire Came In 800AD (developed with Buildings and Hierarchy, the Vatican with Popes, through the years, was established.) The BIBLE was Kept out of the Hands of Christians and ERROR Crept In (things the Bible Never said, like Worshipping Mary; Praying to Saints; Religious Practices that Stifled the Presence of God etc the Teaching of HELL and Damnation came in) it was pretty oppressive really.

We see, the Roman Catholic Empire was actually founded by Charlemagne in 800AD which was a further development of the STATE INSTITUTION Instigated by the Roman Emperor Constantine (Not God) in 330AD - 3 Centuries After EARLY CHRISTIANITY.

And believe it or not, there was a Stark Contrast between the two. Constantine actually Hated Christianity (he was Not a Defender of it) and Planned things that way - making it a State Institution - so he could Gain Control over it. Because he considered REAL CHRISTIANITY to be a Threat to his Empire.
The Worse PLOY in History, in my opinion.

To this Day, many Real Christians say to themselves or each-other "That has nothing to do with Us" when they see Newslines telecast about the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church System. Quite right. It does Not. And unknown to Catholics, there have been different Wicked Popes (and that doesn't mean Good) in the Line of Popes in the Catholic Popes. Plus the Roman Catholic Priests in 585 AD used to threaten HELL-FIRE if their people didn't PAY 10% of their Income to "The Church" which was to Fund the Buildings AND the Hierarchy and was something EARLY CHRISTIANS Never Engaged in.

And later they even made it Mandatory that you would even go to Prison if you didn't Pay that 10% which did actually keep those Buildings and Hierarchy in Existence. They forced them to Tithe in 800AD. They taught a Lot about "Indulgences for Sins" and "Hell Fire" and had the Bible under Lock and Key for a Long Time so people did not have Access to it. They taught a Lot of Scary Stuff.

Yes it was quite Oppressive. So the Catholic Church, in Contrast to Real Christianity,
does not have a pretty history.

Let that be a Revelation to any Christians and Preachers who are in Ignorance about the Roman Catholic Hierarchy REINTRODUCING Tithes that were given by Jews in the Old Testament in Bible Days. GIVING to Those in Need through Charities like World Vision and Samaritan's Purse Etc and People you Care about is in line with New Testament Giving for CHRISTIANS and is in Keeping with the Nature of Christ. And consider, in the Bible there is a mention of the Disciples Paying Taxes but there is NO Account of them Paying Tithes. Jesus told Jewish Hypocrites off for Skimping on Tithes, but never anyone else. Neither Peter, Paul, James or John addressed Christians concerning "Tithes" but the Apostle had a Passion for Giving to those in Need but Never pushed it. So where does all the Preacher's Emphasis come from? Nowhere, unless they're quoting Verses concerning Jews out of Context. I detest Meddling with God's Word. Some Preachers are very good at it. But that's a different Subject.

UPDATE - JANUARY 2025

Something more has come to light after writing this article.

In 200-220AD Tertullian of Carthage, considered to be the Master of Torment, strongly influenced Christians - two Centuries later. He’s the guy who first made the theory that the souls of those who are Unsaved are going to burn in hellfire for ever and ever and ever, never burning up, and he specified how this process works. He wrote it right down in detail. He came from a Pagan background.

I've known for many years that name the Devil also means Deceiver!

We have just read a brief account of how that Deceiver MESSED with Christianity through Tertullian and Constantine and what followed, so TRUE Christianity would be Kept from People - Rendered Powerless basically.

As stated, Papal Rome used to actually threaten Christians that they would be damned for Eternity if they did not pay 10% of their Income to them - to keep their buildings and the hierarchy going. Without a doubt, that is how it got in there because the Original Manuscripts did not say that.

TRUE Christianity (not the Churchianity we see in Buildings Today) was Growing Rapidly due to Changed Hearts and Lives (when Jesus comes into one's spirit and resides there) and the many Healings and Miracles that accompanied that. Not the Fake Healings like you so-called see in Rallies run by Con Artists like Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland and the likes of Bill Johnson's Bethel Movement. You should Never give any time or attention to the Modern Breed of Evil Charlatans that bring great Reproach on the Name of Christ. In fact, the New Testament said those kinds of Jerks would exist. And Jesus called them Hirelings, not Servants. Rest ASSURED They will Never See Heaven. Jesus said when He Comes, He will say "Away from Me, I do Not Know YOU!"

That is not to be confused with Real Healings and Miracles that DO EXIST to This Day that sometimes take place in the Personal Lives of Believers. I was Saved 40 Minutes from Death 20+ Years ago; Healed from Allergies in the 70s and have New Nerve Fibres in my Ears 3.5 Years after they were wrecked by a so-called Safe Antibiotic (Rulide) ironically for an Ear Infection whereby everything I could hear was Loud (Hyperacusis) so I should know.

Please Note: Healing or Miracles never take place when we are looking to or relying on Man. We need to be Focussed on Jesus. In Simple Trusting Faith; Unshifting Faith; Love and Adoration or 100% Surrender. These are ways I know from personal experience and those of other Believers who have really received Healings or Miracles. And sometimes it is Sheer Providence in someone's Life.

I always like to Caution and Protect People from Modern Day Charlatans and Counterfeit Healings. People who are Unwell do Not Need their So-Called Help. They are a Hindrance - it's absolutely Criminal - they are Worse than Dodgy Politicians because they MESS with your Mind and Emotions and Faith in God.
They should be behind Bars!

Pay No Attention to them Folks, they Twist the Word of God and Desecrate it.
And remember that GOSPEL from Bible Days means GOOD NEWS (Glad Tidings)
Not Scary News and some Fire Escape from an Egyptian HELL.

You can rest Assured, there most definitely is a HEAVEN Jesus referred to as
Paradise in the Gospel in the Bible.
GOSPEL means GOOD NEWS remember? NOT Scary News!

And the Best Miracle is a New Nature someone experiences
when they Truly Find Jesus.
Not all the Hillsong OR Joel Osteen rubbish. I don't bother with so-called Christian TV - that's were mostly Charlatans present their Wares.
