Polymers and Acrylates in Skin Care Products and Cosmetics – Be CAREFUL – Janet Protects You!

By Janet Vargas - Independent Natural Health Researcher 30+ Years

MORE to Watch Out for Folks! Some of these Polymers have been around for years. They have been used in Skin Care and Cosmetics and NOW there are New Derivatives of those Chemicals entering the Market.

The concern about these Chemicals is, they are very TOXIC and have been found to Cause Cancer.

As surely as we have learned about Manufacturer’s serious Lack of Ethics, instead of the Industry cutting out the use of these Chemicals, they USE Them all the More. And as we are so accustomed to, our Governments are more concerned with Raising High Revenue from the Massive Profits/Taxes of this highly Lucrative Industry than they are about our Health and Welfare.

There’s so much we hear about “in the name of Truth” these days, and there is what Natural Health Researchers who really Care about your Health call an
“Information War” going on.

And of-course, this is not funny because it means that YOU a Member of the Public AND Consumer are caught in the middle of this War between TRUE Information and FALSE Information. While Big and Small Companies Compete with Greed for
Your Dollars.

Sound familiar? Yes in Evidence, it does seem very much like that is the Sum Total of their concern – nothing else really. You know what I mean? The Adage of Modern Times is so true, spoken by many of us “Money, MONEY!” We’re so tired of that.
Yes me too.

We live in a World of Abuse when is comes to our Dollars spent on the Necessities of Daily Life, be it Food; Cleaners; Personal Products; Cosmetics and even Medical Products.

That’s right, you would be surprised how many Chemicals go into many Antibiotics and Medications, being the reason most of them have a profile of Side Effects – some of them Nasty.  What they don’t dare tell you is some of those Meds CAUSE Medical Induced Ailments and then they give you other Meds to treat those
when your Body is Calling Out “NO, NO, don’t give me anymore of that!”
It does this in some of those Symptoms that are distressing you.

Mind you, it is nothing new for genuine Researchers to know that Addictive Components have been deliberately added not only to various Mental Health Medications but also to various Medications for Physical Ailments as well. A Friend experienced proof of this some years ago. She takes a Heart Medication. When she missed taking her dose for a few days, she found herself shouting at the School Principal – ballistic – about something and that wrecked a good re pour they had between them – as expected, he avoided her after that. Yes all because of a Medical Tablet she takes.

Chemicals in Products pose dangers to our Health, be it in Foods we ingest
OR Creams Etc we apply on Our Skin, because the truth of the matter is, they are absorbed into our Skin and make their way into our Bloodstream where they can play amuck with our Health, because our body sees them as the Foreign Invaders they are. Please do not take for granted, like many do, that our Liver is always up to Detoxifying all that because the truth of the matter is because our Liver copes with so many Insults in this Modern Age, we need to Take Good Care of our Liver.

And that Friends, is what you need to call out when you see on the labels of these Polymers and Acrylates in Skin Care and Cosmetic Products. They are Toxic to our Body and Toxic to our Liver.

I solemnly Urge You, Please CHECK Them Out. Look for them – no matter how much you like or trust a Company because increasingly more and more Companies are making the COMPROMISE in their Skin Care Range in recent times. It’s getting more difficult to avoid some of these Chemicals.

Sorry to Inform you, as a Health and People’s Advocate, I’m just fulfilling
my duty as a Genuine Independent Researcher to tell you the real facts you Need to Know. In other words, I don’t take Bribes from Anyone. I don’t sell my Name to give false misleading Information for Any Company. I’ve been doing this Work 30+ Years now and many thank me for that.

Being content with my income, that is reward enough for me, seeing people protected from the ravages of Ill-Health like I experienced many years ago –
one was excessive peppermint Candy related and two, Medical Tablets related.

The Missing INFO On SkinCare Labels Containing Polymers and Acrylates

C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer:
In a nut shell, it’s a binder. It binds water and oil together to create a smooth consistency. It’s also known as sodium acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylates Crosspolymer.

While overall it is considered to be a “relatively safe” ingredient scoring a 3/10 in the low-moderate safety risk, it is worth noting that in the polymerisation process,
Benzene is used as a solvent.

Now benzene is highly carcinogenic and has been associated with aplastic anaemia, acute leukemia and bone marrow abnormalities. It targets the liver, kidney, lung, heart, and brain. The US Dept. of Health and Human Services classifies it as a human carcinogen. But if you're cool with blood born cancers,
then it's business as usual.

I'm not a scientist, or do I play one on TV, so maybe I'm missing some important piece of information, but for my family, "ingredients" that can potentially cause my children's bone marrow to stop producing new blood cells, or enable the rapid growth of abnormal white blood cells, is one factor that is easily eliminated.
At the very least, I don't want ingredients on my families skin that is
counter productive to their intended uses.

What I do want to impress upon you is this. In your own time, there will be moments in your life that will either rock your axis or bring direct attention to a specific need. It will be at that moment, that you will enter down a rabbit hole that will completely transform the way you view a particular area in your life.

The use of Natural Polymers in Cosmetic Formulations is of particular relevance
because of their biocompatible, safe, and eco-friendly character. These formulations are highly attractive and marketable to consumers, and are suitable for a plethora of applications, including make-up, skin, and hair care, and as modifiers and stabilizers. In this Article, natural synthetic, semi-synthetic, and synthetic polymers are discussed considering their properties for cosmetic applications. Their uses in conventional and novel formulations are also presented.

Polymers are an important class of raw materials in cosmetic formulations, being essential in the production of high-performance products. They are classified as synthetic, semi-synthetic and natural macromolecules. In cosmetic and personal care formulations, its structural diversity is used to promote a variety of functions as modifiers, thickeners, foam stabilizers, emulsifiers, fixatives, conditioning, and film formers.

Please Note: most Companies like the way Synthetic Polymers perform in big batches of Manufacture – kind of Carefree, no hassles, they blend very favorably like slick paints, shall we say? This is why they almost always go for Synthetic Polymers in big Vats and some Manufacturers will settle for Semi-Synthetic in order to keep a Market for more discerning Buyers because they can Craft their words to sound like their Cosmetic and Skin Care products are Natural, when clearly speaking, they are Not.

Let me educate you in one statement here: Their reasons for using the Synthetics and Semi-Synthetics are purely that of Convenience and Cost Reduction, yet they charge you “The Earth” (for the fancy packaging too of-course)
For all their Pomp and Sophisticated Blurb and Presentations, you can see the Real Picture here: they're actually CHEAP SKATES and we take so seriously everything they tell us don't we? All the Jargon, all the Hype - just like we do with the Weight Loss Industry - don't even start me on that caper:)

Such are Modern Times hey? Just like the Food Trade, “never mind our Health” they’re not in the least concerned about that. They’re “Money Mongers” remember?

As the saying goes, "Money Corrupts People"..........when it comes to Companies, there is no end to their Corruption. I refer to such Companies as the GREED BREED. Would not surprise me if they wear that Title proudly because they've already demonstrated they have no Conscience.

I could tell you about the Evils of the Medical Industry (pun intended) and the Cosmetics/Personal Care Industry – don’t even start me on that either – but I am sharing things based on old and new research, that are Necessary for you to know when Purchasing Cosmetic, Skin Care and Personal Care Products. So you can be not just a little discerning but very much Wiser when your eyes scan those Products in the Stores or Amazon.

"Makeup has lost some of its appeal in recent years for various reasons. While about 39% of women wore makeup in 2019, the Cosmetic Industry is experiencing a downward trend in popularity. Nowadays, many women are opting for a more Natural Look and are generally using less makeup than before. Others have started to dive deeper into some of the Environmental and Health issues often associated with the Cosmetic Industry.

If the cosmetic brands you use are not promoting sustainability and are not openly talking about their ethical efforts, you might want to think twice before buying them. Meanwhile, some brands will go above and beyond to appear “natural” and sustainable. In most cases, however, it is nothing more than a creative marketing technique, also known as greenwashing. Doing your research is essential.

Common issues with traditional makeup include waste, product contamination, and harmful ingredients. Not only can these issues impact the planet, but they can also be detrimental to your well-being, causing everything from skin irritation to more serious health issues. For example, some cosmetic companies still use formaldehyde in their products, which is a widely-known carcinogen. " from Earth.Org

To me, that's all the more reason why most Women need to Check their SkinCare too - not just the Cosmetics.

Dangers In Acrylates

Acrylates are chemical agents composed of Acrylic Acid (believe it or not) and Methacrylic Acid building blocks and found mostly in artificial nail products. Acrylates are nonsurfactant suspending agents that have anti-static, film-forming, and binding abilities. They are often used as adhesives for artificial nails and eyelashes and to help artificial nails mold to the natural nail.

are widely found in artificial nail products including nail builders, nail enhancing polishes, and nail and Eyelash Adhesives. They’re also used in Hair Fixatives.

How to Know if a Product has Acrylates

Acrylates may be listed under different names on ingredient labels including: ethyl acrylate; acrylic acid ethyl ester, ethyl propenoate, EA; ethyl methacrylate, ethyl ester, methacrylic acid, ethyl ester, ethyl 2-methyl-2-propenoate, EMA; methyl methacrylate; ethyl methacrylate; methacrylate monomer, methyl ester of methacrylic acid, methyl-2-methyl-2-propenoate, MMA; acrylic/acrylate copolymer, acrylic/acrylates copolymer.

See how Many Derivatives there are? It's almost impossible to keep up with them all.

Risks associated with acrylates

The International Agency of Research on Cancer as well as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have classified acrylates as a possible Human Carcinogen. Exposure to acrylates has been linked to skin, eye, and throat reactions as well as more serious health consequences such as:
Cancer; Development issues; Neurological damage; Cellular damage; Reproductive toxicity; Organ system toxicity.

How to Avoid These Acrylates

It’s possible to avoid acrylates by not using artificial nails and avoiding salons that are not well ventilated. Use toxic Chemical free and Acrylate and Phthalate-free nail products instead. More Info HERE

Acrylates Copolymer has many uses in the world of cosmetics. It is used in a variety of products such as shampoos, body lotions, nail paints, etc. Acrylates copolymer for skin has benefits such as smoothing and softening. It forms a film or a barrier on the skin to result in a smooth feel. It even acts as a thickening agent for improving the texture of formulations. It is most commonly used in eye shadows, mascara, eyebrow pencils, and lipsticks. Acrylates copolymer is good for hair as it aids in smoothing and detangling the shafts.
