The company with NO CONSCIENCE. A lot of Companies have No Conscience in Recent Times but BAYER (MONSANTO) Top the Lot of Them. Many Times they have been found to be NOTORIOUS CRIMINALS and also Big Bullies that are So Lucrative they have won Court Cases by sheer force - not to mention False Claims. Monsanto have a Nasty Recent History of Running Farmers off their Land, who of Necessity, wished to Discontinue the use of Monsanto's GMO Crops with Heaps of RoundUp (because they are deliberately Resistant to it). They have won some cases based on FALSIFIED CLAIMS and BIG MONEY. NOT THIS TIME!
Bayer (Previously Monsanto) Ordered To Pay $2.25 Billion After Jury Links Herbicide Roundup To Cancer
By Frances Vinall- Washington Post 29th Jan 2024
A jury handed down a $2.25 billion verdict, including $2 Billion in punitive damages, against Agrochemical Giant MONSANTO, according to the lawyers of a man who said he developed Cancer from using the company’s Weed Killer, ROUNDUP.
John McKivison, 49, filed a lawsuit in Philadelphia against the Company after he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which he said was due to using Roundup on his property for 20 years.
On Friday a Jury returned a Unanimous Verdict, finding that Roundup was a cancer-causing product, that Monsanto was Negligent and that Monsanto failed to warn about the dangers of Roundup, McKivison’s lawyers Tom Kline and Jason Itkin said in a joint statement.
“The jury’s punitive damages award sends a clear message that this Multi-National Corporation needs a Top to Bottom Change,” they said, calling the Verdict “A Condemnation of 50 Years of Misconduct by Monsanto.”
In an emailed statement, Bayer, Monsanto’s parent company, said it planned to appeal the verdict and what it called the “unconstitutionally excessive” damages. It said the Jury’s Verdict “conflicts with the overwhelming weight of scientific evidence and worldwide regulatory and scientific assessments” on Roundup.
The claims rest on the ingredient Glyphosate, introduced as a Herbicide by Monsanto in 1974, which inhibits a certain Enzyme in most plants, preventing them from growing. Monsanto also introduced Genetically Modified Crops (GMOs) that are Resistant to Glyphosate.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency found in 2020 that “there are no risks of concern to human health when Glyphosate is used in accordance with its current label” and that “Glyphosate is unlikely to be a human Carcinogen.”
The European Commission said last year that “based on an assessment of all available information, there is currently no evidence to classify Glyphosate as being carcinogenic.” Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency has approved its use.
But the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer found in 2015 that glyphosate is “probably Carcinogenic to humans.”
Bayer agreed in 2020 to pay about $10 billion in a settlement to Tens of Thousands of Claimants over the allegation that Roundup causes non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, without admitting wrongdoing. But fresh claims against it have continued since then. It won a case on Dec. 22 in California, lost a case on Dec. 5 in Pennsylvania, and lost a case on Nov. 17 in Missouri, according to the company.
The German Pharmaceutical Giant BAYER Acquired U.S. Agrochemical Company MONSANTO, the inventor and producer of Roundup, in 2018.

Bayer Shares Fall Nearly 6% On Court Order To Pay $2.25 Billion In Damages
6 hours ago — A jury in a Philadelphia court on Friday ordered Bayer to pay $2.25 billion to a Pennsylvania man who said he developed cancer from exposure to RoundUp

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Shares in Bayer (OTC:BAYRY) dropped as much as 5.7% on Monday after the embattled German company was ordered to pay $2.25 billion in damages, the highest amount yet in its ongoing litigation linked to an alleged carcinogenic effect of its Roundup weedkiller.
Shortly after the 0800 GMT open, Bayer shares fell 5.7% to their lowest in about eight weeks, before trimming the losses to last trade down 4.6%. They have lost 70% of their value since the company bought Monsanto (NYSE:MON) in 2018.
The total amount includes $2 billion in punitive damages, which are likely to be reduced on appeal because they exceed U.S. Supreme Court guidance, but the verdict poses an added headache for CEO Bill Anderson, who is cutting management jobs in a bid to speed up how business decisions are made.
Anderson is also in the process of reviewing the group's diversified structure, which is unpopular with many investors, but will likely hold off presenting break-up plans at an investor update scheduled for early March, people familiar with the matter have told Reuters.
Bayer, which is burdened by financial debt and lack of free cash flow, said it remains committed to taking cases to trial, citing a record of having won 10 of the last 16 cases at trial.
In 2020, Bayer settled most of the Roundup cases that were pending at the time for up to $9.6 billion but failed to get court approval for an agreement to prevent future cases. More than 50,000 claims now remain pending.
"A new settlement would unfortunately not put an end to glyphosate litigation because in one to two years, new plaintiffs would again be knocking on Bayer's door," said portfolio manager Markus Manns of mutual funds company Union Investment.
Among the measures to head off further claims, Bayer has moved to phase out the use of glyphosate in products for non-professional gardeners, but new plaintiffs have based their claims on years of prior use.
Bayer continues to sell glyphosate-based weedkillers to farmers, who rely on it heavily and who according to Bayer play a negligible role in the litigation.
Anderson, at the helm since June last year, has adopted his predecessor Werner Baumann's tough stance regarding further settlement deals.
Among other challenges he faces is a weak U.S. corn seed business, a drop in prices of glyphosate weedkillers and a recent failure of a key trial testing a once-promising new anti-clotting drug.

After working on the causes of autism for almost 25 years, one of the most fascinating and puzzling aspects has been the marked increase in autism that has been noted over the last 30 years. To qualify as a cause of autism, the factor needs to be something that did not exist at the beginning of the trend upward, but has steadily increased in step with the increase in autism.
Corn and soy are the crops on which glyphosate is most heavily used. Abbreviations: USDA, US Department of Agriculture; NASS, National Agricultural Statistics Service; USDE, US Department of Education; IDEA, Individuals with Disabilities Act
THE INTERNET HAS LOTS OF PAGES THAT EXPOSE BAYER/MONSANTO LIES.
