Friends, You Need To Know The True Facts On Monsanto's GMOs And Glyphosates. Misleading Information Abounds And Comes From Surprising Places (you don’t expect). It’s Alright To Be Cautious. We Need To Be These Days. There Are Big Profits And So Much Greed Out There, As Most Of Us Know.

This Post Will Show Pro GMO Supporters And INFO Sources To Be Very Ignorant Or Deliberately Misleading. Some Intelligent People Suspect Big Pharma And The Chemical Industry To Be Close Allies, Due To So Many People Getting Sick From Chemicals And Then They Have Chemical Drugs Prescribed To Them By Their MD/GPs.

That would not surprise me if it is so because concerns I address in Research on damages caused by Medical Drugs and Agricultural Chemicals goes pretty much hand in hand - generally speaking. It is interesting to note here that BAYER Manufactures make Both. If you do a Google search for Bayer Pharmaceuticals and Bayer Agriculture Products, I think you may be surprised what you find.

Can you see the question that comes to mind when researching? It's a possibility that Big Ag and Big Pharma and the Food Giant companies who are so persistent in adding Chemicals to almost everything we but in the Supermarkets have been close Allies for decades. Makes you wonder.

I don't want to research that far because I like to Research things I can help people with, in preference to such pursuits. I have known a few people who have become very unbalanced with conspiracy theories about the pandemic etc.

But the prospects of using Agri-Chemicals should at-least make us Very Careful not to be so trusting of the RoundUp and Glyphosates they like so much to use, when you discover that Monsanto-Bayer are up against something like 300,000 Cancer Lawsuits in recent times due to using those.

And just like a few Pharmaceutical Companies I'm aware of, those Suits won't stop them from continuing the manufacture of them if they get away with it. They have absolutely NO Conscience when it comes to people's traumas with Health. I had to discontinue updated research on GMO Foods (by Monsanto) because the overwhelming Evidence against them is so upsetting to read in detail - how they are Adversely Affecting farmers and people alike is so heavy. I mean really weighty! I suggest you stay away from their products and GMOs rather than look too far into it, for your peace of mind.

As for choosing more Toxic Exposure to these Toxic Chemicals is concerned........... half the time (figure of speech) these people become Ongoing Patients with Repeat Prescriptions for More “Medication” and wonder why. I wouldn't risk it.

 When You Consider All The Toxic Chemicals In Herbicides And Pesticides; All The Chemical Additives That Go Into Most Of The Foods We Buy; Then The Absolute Greed Of Big Pharma And The Huge Amounts Of Profit Their Medical Agents (Medicos) Are Making, It Is Not Hard To Believe There Are Possibly Some Ties Between Big Pharma (Medical Drug Industry), Big Farma (Chemical Agriculture) And Food Giants (Corporate Manufacturers).

As GE technology fails to live up to its promises worldwide, Bayer (Monsanto), DowDuPont, Syngenta and BASF — Big Biotech and pesticide corporations — continue to reach for profit.

With widespread sales of GE seeds and their accompanying pesticides dominating the market, profits for Agrichemical Corporations continue to rise. Monsanto’s (now merged with Bayer) net income, for example, doubled from $993 Million in 2007 to $2 Billion in 2008.

Reliance on GE herbicide-resistance has taken over the U.S. Seed Market in a relatively short period of time. Since their introduction in 1996, Glyphosate-Resistant Soy climbed to 54% of U.S. acreage by 2000 — and accounted for 92% of U.S. Soy Acreage by 2008.

And not only are GE seeds more expensive than their non-engineered conventional counterparts, most are used with specific herbicides that cannot be substituted with cheaper varieties. The price of RoundUp Ready Soy Seeds tripled from $6.50/bag in 2000 to $17.50/bag in 2009.

Genetically Engineered Soy

In 2018, 94% of the Soybeans in the US were genetically engineered. Most genetically engineered Soy has been directly sprayed with glyphosate and other herbicides, some of which are Carcinogenic. Glyphosate has made recent news for being the subject of more than 10,000 cancer lawsuits. 

Deforestation And Monocrops

Voracious global consumption of Soy is a leading force behind destruction of the tropical rain forests. Monocrops often drive small-scale family farmers out of business. And Soy is one of the biggest monocrops on the planet. But where is all this Soy going? The vast majority isn’t turning into edamame, tofu, tempeh, or miso. It’s not even turning into Soy burgers or Soy milk.

Approximately three-quarters of the world’s Soy Harvest is used as Livestock Feed. There’s actually more Soy in a pound of feed lot beef than there is in a pound of tofu. So make sure you know what the Cows were Fed – either  go for Organic OR Grass Fed Or be very Sparing.

One common genetic manipulation involves altering DNA in certain crops to make them resistant to herbicides. One of the most common herbicides used in conjunction with these GMOs is glyphosate, the primary active ingredient in the weedkiller Roundup. Glyphosate consumption is linked to cancer. In fact, several people have won cases that allege glyphosate caused their cancer. Bayer, the manufacturer of Roundup, is currently fighting cancer lawsuits that involve over 13,000 people.

As a mother this makes my blood boil! And so many mothers don’t know about the dangers of these foods compromising their family’s health. Children under the age of 10 are getting diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I am directing/producing a documentary on urban agriculture to promote people growing their own organic veggies or sourcing from urban farmers. I have put in a large veggie garden in my backyard and teach people in my neighbourhood how to grow. I also give away produce to my neighbours. I go to my local farmer’s market or buy directly from the farmers. I know them by name and they some of the most important people in my life. They are sustaining my family. I thank all my organic, biodynamic, permaculture and small scale farmers for all they do!

Plant and environmental science major here. GMOs are not inherently dangerous, and genetically modified plants have a lot of potential for solving global issues- see golden rice. While engineering a plant to be herbicide resistant can obviously open the door for herbicide over-use, plants can also be engineered to be more drought-resistant, saving freshwater, or to be more pest-resistant, reducing the need for chemical pesticides. The genetic modification process uses a safe, precise technology called CRISPR and does not involve the addition of any chemicals to modified organisms. Please stop peddling misinformation about a safe technology with so much potential.

Allison Herr, I lived in Italy for nearly twenty years and I don't know where you get your information but in numerous articles and scientific studies, GMO's have proven to be a dead end for agriculture because they require the need of Pesticides, which I am sure you know are very toxic for humans.
