Every Single Child is born with an Individual Blueprint—a Unique set of giftings, talents, and inner wisdom waiting to be uncovered. However, these gifts cannot be discovered on a couch, nor can they be unlocked by an iPad app. A screen does all the thinking for a child, programming their impressionable young minds and forcing a passive compliance. When we shut children up in high-density housing and concrete suburbs, we stunt their ability to think for themselves, trapping them in an intellectual and spiritual poverty.
Nature is the ultimate incubator for a child's true potential. When a child is placed in an unstructured natural environment, their imagination instantly awakens. A simple stick becomes a tool; a pile of river rocks becomes a castle; a fallen tree branch becomes a challenge to overcome. In this unscripted space, children are forced to innovate, create their own rules, and self-organize. This is where real life principles, robust ethics, and deep discretion are forged.
When a child climbs a tree or navigates a slippery riverbank, they aren't just playing—they are learning how to calculate risk and build resilience. They learn what it feels like to fall, to pick themselves up, and to conquer fear. This creates an unshakeable foundation of confidence and mental acuity that stays with them for life. We Protect our Children far too much, and that isn't giving them Character or Resilience fr Life - is it now?
Furthermore, Nature acts as a mirror to a Child’s Unique Soul. Away from the artificial noise of modern media, the quiet of the outdoors allows a child to hear their own thoughts. One child might be drawn to the intricate geometry of a leaf, discovering an innate love for science. Another might spend hours building a fort, unlocking an architectural gift. A third might find deep peace writing or drawing in the dirt, tapping into an artistic calling.
We do our children the ultimate disfavour when we rob them of these moments of discovery. If we want to raise a generation of independent thinkers, courageous leaders, and emotionally resilient adults, we must return them to the wild elements of nature. Let them get dirty, let them take risks, and watch them discover exactly who they were created to be.
AND PLEASE DO REMEMBER THAT YOUR CHILD IS NOT AN EXTENTION OF YOU OR WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO OR BE LIKE. I SAY THAT BECAUSE OF A FEW PARENTS and KIDS I'VE KNOWN WHERE THINGS DID NOT WORK OUT WELL FOR EITHER OF THEM. I COULD SAY MORE!
