Let’s stop pretending that the Modern Institutional Church
looks anything like the Movement Jesus started.
If you read the New Testament, you see a living, breathing Family. They met in Simple Rooms, broke bread around ordinary dinner tables, and shared everything they had. They didn’t have budgets, mortgages, stages, or professional performers. They didn’t have a hierarchy. They had a Direct Unmediated Connection to Jesus, and they were known for their radical, self-sacrificing Love.
So, how did we get from a Vibrant Home-Based Movement of Love
to a rigid, multi-billion-dollar corporate franchise?
The turning point has a name: The Emperor Constantine.
In the fourth century, the Roman Empire did something catastrophic to the Faith. Constantine didn’t just legalise Christianity; he Institutionalised it. He took a radical, Anti-Establishment Movement and repackaged it to Serve the Agenda of the State.
So the True Facts are Virtually everything modern "church people" consider sacred didn’t come from Jesus OR the Apostles. It came straight from the Imperial Palace of Rome!
The Three Pillars of the Machine
When Constantine merged the State with the Christianity, three massive shifts occurred that completely corrupted the way People relate to Jesus and Each Other:
- From People to Palaces (The Buildings)
The Early Disciples knew they were the temple of God. Constantine changed that. He built massive, imposing structures called basilicas (which were originally Roman civic and royal halls) and told people that God lived inside those stone walls. We are still paying for this LIE today, wasting billions on real estate and utilities while hurting people freeze on the streets outside. - From Family to Hierarchy (The Clergy System)
Jesus explicitly told His Followers not to seek titles or lord power over one another (Matthew 23:8-10). Constantine ignored this. He introduced a rigid, pagan priesthood model. He separated the "professionals" (clergy) from the "spectators" (laity). This turned active disciples into Passive Pew-Sitters (Seat Warmers) and created a breeding ground for Toxic Un-Christlike Leadership. - From Love to Sermon Lectures (The Ritual)
The Early Church gathered Together in Each-Other’s Houses to Participate, Share, and Encourage One Another. Rome turned it into an Imperial Audience. They structured the Gathering around a stage, a formal presentation, and a lecture. It became an Institution demanding compliance, attendance, and financial dues, completely stripping away the Intimate, Healing Fellowship Jesus intended.
For Some of You who Love your Church Services - and they are "Better than Most"..........Bible predicts things will not stay that way in the Endtimes. And believe it or Not, you are actually Missing Out on what "TRUE FELLOWSHIP" (the Biblical Way) is all about. Regardless of what Your Church looks Like to you, consider The Lord is being Gracious in what is sometimes referred to as His "Permissive Will" (allowed) rather than His "Perfect Will" (that which Jesus Planned and Purposed and Set Forth for us - as it is Truly Shown in the New Testament aka read Romans 16 where Paul sends his Heartfelt Greetings and Salutations to Christians in House Churches (there's a List of them there) Yet a few Centuries later, it was in Rome, that Wicked Emperor Constantine took Control Over the Church by sheer Deception when he made it a State Institution (Merging Christianity with the State he reigned over, and Everything had to Comply with his wishes and demands)
If you do a simple exercise of Enquiry, you will discover that Local Churches are still a State Institution to this Day. Admittedly, things are somewhat different since that Great Takeover - that has not Changed. Many Churches have to Accept Gay Members etc now, and much Corruption Spiritually and Naturally has come into Many, Many Local and Mega Churches Worldwide, in all manner of Ways: Uncouth Deceptive and Damaging "Doctrines of Men and Demons" Paul warned about in his time. It's Highly Influenced by the World. New Age "Social Gospel" alone is Part of that. Those False Preachers are so "Allergic to the Blood of Jesus" He shed as the Ultimate Price to Redeem Us (bring whoever Receives Him CLOSE to the Heart of God) so we could Experience His Presence in Our Heart and Lives.
Unplugging from the Machine
When you understand this history, the poor, legalistic behaviour of "Church People" makes perfect sense. The Institutional Church was designed by an Empire to control people, enforce uniformity, and protect its own power. It was never designed to produce the Fruit of the Spirit.
If you are exhausted by the guilt trips, the performance, and the corporate machinery, hear this clearly: You are not leaving the church. You are leaving Rome.
Jesus did not Call You to support an Institutional Franchise. He called you to Walk with Him. You do not need a Pastor and Service, a Platform and Sermon Lecture
to be a Light in this World.
It is time to Unlearn the Machine, step out of the basilica, and Return to the Simple, Direct, Life-Giving Reality of Jesus.

To the contrary, different Cults have those. You only have to think of Muslim, Buddhism, Hare Krishna, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness Watch Tower, the revival of Gnosticism and Mysticism, Sieck and Hindu to realise that. And mind you, many people are Turning from those to Jesus in These Times - Happy to have Left the Bondage (such High Expectations of Man placed on them) which is Very Back-Breaking, to say the least.
I have known people in those Religions, so I should know the Real Facts that are not told you. Scientology is the Absolute Worst - don't me you to explain why - just take my word for that. Crippling and Terrible. Plus Jehovah's Witnesses have Many of their people fall Mentally ILL as a result of all the Darkness in it - Very Scary, especially for Kids - and they are strictly Forbidden to Seek Professional Help, which they should not need in the first place if they were not Lured into it. So Sad, really Upsets me!
So please Understand, Jesus did not Call Christians to Meet like Strangers in Buildings, facing People's Backs while being Told What to Do OR being Entertained like a Theatre with the One Man Show (Pun Intended) most times with "Second Hand" Sermons found on the Internet OR Christless Preaching (Social Gospel) OR Solemn Sombre Lifeless Religious Rituals. Mind Control, such as in Plymouth Brethren who Condemn "Sinners" on Street Corners, expect you to Disown your Families and Take over your Finances and Will;
No, No, Christianity should not be Confused with ANY of those, but it has been. My word it has.
The Apostle Paul told us in the New Testament, there is such a thing as "Doctrines of Men and Doctrines of Demons" the latter of those are More Crippling due to Heartless, domination and Mind Control, which is pretty much Unimaginable unless you've actually been in them or known someone who has. Even Doctrines of Men can make People "Mixed Up" but Cults more-so can MESS with your Mind and Emotions and Family. Really Bad Stuff. Those are Examples of what kinds of things we can get involved in when attending Religious Sects in Buildings. Very Misleading and even Very Deceptive.
I would be Very Wary of the Pentecostal and Revivalist Movements if I were you. VERY UNSTABLE. Like Kenneth Copeland of KCM, Bill Johnston of Bethel and Mike Bickle of IHop. Mark these words, they are damaging to Young People.
My Advice to You: Give your Kids the Most Loving Stable Environment you can at Home and Encourage them to ENJOY a Simple Walk with Jesus, so they are Not attracted to those. And Never Push Christianity or Religion on your Kids - wilfully Imposing Your Standards on them - that does them a Disfavour and Jesus too. It can really hinder the natural process of them Discovering Jesus personally themselves.
But I'd never grow up a Child totally without God-Content like some Parents decide to, saying "they can make their own choice when they grow up" because they can Encounter Anti-God Content in the Education System from Atheist Teachers first. Besides, even if you're not sure what you think about Jesus and Inclined to Follow Him yourself, your Child is at-least entitled to have an Awareness of their Creator "Watching Over Them" these days - especially little Kids, when you are not present with them. Even Big Kids.
Any way, maybe you can see reasons why attending Religious Services in Buildings is Not a Good Idea, because it was Constantine's Idea, to destroy the Wonderful Way of Life and Home Fellowship Christians had 2,000 Years ago before So Many Religions came into existence.
That's my Honest advice to you.

If you are disappointed or discontent, you will understand why. If you have been Hurt by or Concerned about Poor Behaviour demonstrated by Church People or Pastors, this will Help.

In this Video, she discusses people's Good Reasons for Leaving the Local Church Scene, with a Friend Lance Ford who used to Pastor a few Churches. Julie personally found a Nice Home Church she fellowships with and has a Nice Experience there. Julie and Vance are beautiful people, and this is a Lovely Discussion. There's some really Beneficial things said here. This is just contagiously Relatable, this........you will Love it!
