SOME YEARS AGO (not many) I WAS TOLD BY A RESPONSIBLE STORE ASISTANT IN A SUPERMARKET "No, we don't actually have GMO Crops growing in Australia apart from Canola" BUT SEE WHAT JUST CAME UP IN AN ARTICLE ON THE NET WHEN I WAS ON SOME GARDENING RESEARCH (not health related) AT 4am? AND IT GRIEVES ME TO DO THIS - ALSO THE FACT I WAS BACKWARD WITH IT, HAVING SO MANY WEBSITES TO RUN. I SHOULD LET YOU KNOW RIGHT NOW, SO I INTERRUPED MY LEISURE RESEARCH!

In 2020 Australia imported 1.18 million tonnes of soya bean with 85% of this processed into Soybean Meal for livestock, primarily from GMO crops in USA, Brazil and Argentina. It is important to remember that the primary purpose of this genetic modification is to make the crop herbicide resistant, specifically to glyphosate, so the crop can be sprayed up to 4 times with Glyphosate for weed control without impacting on the actual soybean crop. This fact alone is incredibly disconcerting considering the concerns now being raised regarding the Health Issues associated with Glyphosate and RoundUp usage.

Soy has been a staple in Asian diets for thousands of years, and for Vegetarians and people with Lactose Intolerance it’s a good source of calcium and protein.…

Now everything's Soy. Soy in loaves of Bread and Bakery items, Soy in Snitzels and Burgers, Ice-Cream and Chocolates, Protein Powders and Diet Shakes, lots of Processed Foods in packets and cans. We can't seem to keep away from this stuff! And that's because we are not Standing Up To Them! It has been touted as a Health Food decades ago, much of the so-called research on it's merits have been prejudice and flawed, by that Industry, and there are even Scientists and Nutritionists who have sold their Name and Reputation on the likes of these beans because they succumb to the Bribes of Big Pay Manufacturers who insist on using it. Diet Shakes With Soy (added) Bread With Soy, Schnitzel With Soy, Burgers With Soy, Quiche With Soy, Chorizo With Soy Etc Get The Picture? And Everyone Says “YES!”……….”We Don’t Want Soy!” It’s In Almost Everything You Can Think Of. Yes Anything You Can Imagine, If You Haven’t Checked The Packets, Cans And Labels. And We Should Tell Them “NO! I’m Not Buying That”……..Your Best Way To Protest is: Speak Up And Leave The Products On The Shelves (this is more effective in numbers, the more of us the better, don’t wait for someone else). Tell The Cafes, Bakeries And Restaurants “NO SOY”……. Give These Manufacturers, Shops And Venues A Hard Time, So They Have To Take Notice Of Us. Enough IS Enough. They’ve Placed Enough Impositions On Us (for convenience, to cut corners) Lets Impose Our Standards On Them – We’re Far Too Passive, We Didn’t Speak Up. Friends, We Need To Do This.
