Unable to sleep at night after you've finished your programs for the evening? The Blue Light emitted from the Screen has Affected your Melatonin Levels for the night. Maybe your Kids can't sleep after their share for the same reason? Maybe you were a bit distracted by what's on the Screen to tuck your younger Kids into bed at night - their little minds could be thinking "Why doesn't mummy (or daddy) stay with me? Why does she (or he) go so quickly?" And even your Teenage Kids could be thinking they're no competition to that mesmerizing TV of yours. That is, unless they're off in their own rooms with their own TVs and it's the other way round. You're wondering if that was such a good idea, buying that 2nd TV or everyone their TVs.

TVs can Change your Priorities; TVs can make you Lazy to get up and Attend to things or even Loved Ones; TVs can even blunt your Sensitivity to them; TV can Infiltrate your thinking habits, so you have little Interest or Motivation for anything else; TV can cause you to Compromise your Commitments or even your Morals; TV can talk you into buying things you really didn't Need and you're wondering why you bought them?…

A study looking to find the bare minimum of physical activity required to prevent the well documented ill effects of continuous sitting determined that 5 minutes of walking every half hour was enough.

By looking at blood sugar levels and blood pressure, two important metrics of heart disease, the scientists were able to determine how much daily movement was required to get back to equilibrium from the negative effects of sitting.

Picture if you will, an office worker. Waking in the morning in time for coffee and perhaps breakfast with perhaps a spouse or perhaps children, the day begins with at least some sitting. Then climbing into one’s car, the office worker drives in a seated position to the office. There, between lunch and desk work, the worker spends 8-9 hours sitting before returning home, sitting in their car. Once home, they likely sit down for dinner, and perhaps a bit of television or reading; both done from the seated position.

Sitting time for adults in industrialized nations has been climbing for decades, and it increases the risk for all the diseases typical of those nations, i.e.…

Now everything's Soy. Soy in loaves of Bread and Bakery items, Soy in Snitzels and Burgers, Ice-Cream and Chocolates, Protein Powders and Diet Shakes, lots of Processed Foods in packets and cans. We can't seem to keep away from this stuff! And that's because we are not Standing Up To Them! It has been touted as a Health Food decades ago, much of the so-called research on it's merits have been prejudice and flawed, by that Industry, and there are even Scientists and Nutritionists who have sold their Name and Reputation on the likes of these beans because they succumb to the Bribes of Big Pay Manufacturers who insist on using it. Please read the True Facts from TRUE Researchers and Professionals, what they have established.

Soybesity: Soy and Weight Gain

By Dr Kaayla Daniel from Weston Price Foundation 2014

As Americans get fatter and fatter, that’s an important question. Not surprisingly, the soy industry has been stepping up its efforts to promote soy as the ticket to weight loss. In school cafeterias soy is presented as the “healthy” meat and dairy alternative that can prevent childhood obesity. In health food stores and supermarkets, it’s promoted as a “miracle food” that can prevent heart disease, cancer, bone loss, menopausal symptoms and weight gain.…

WE LIVE IN SUCH A FAST PACE AGE WITH SO MANY TECH DEVICES AND DEMANDS ON OUR TIME, IT’S GOOD TO BREAK AWAY FROM ALL THAT AND ATTUNE TO NATURE SOMETIMES. An interesting question. I remember standing at a Bakery counter about 20 years ago when I bought a quiche as did someone next to me. We asked for a little salt to be sprinkled on them and the reply was, they can't do that, they don't have any salt shaker in the place and they don't use salt. Talk about extremists, they were determining what we could or could not do, based on medical blurb I call paranoia.

At that time, "No Salt" was being promoted - many people joined in the craze and some Cafes weren't placing salt shakers on their tables anymore. Being a Researcher, I commented to the other person that I had worked out about 10 things that can go wrong with our health if we don't have salt in our diet, some weeks before and listed them by memory to her. 5 related to Sodium deficiency and 5 related to Chloride deficiency. Imagine, no salt with egg? Yuck!

I've heard and read the other side of the argument that made some sense to me 1. that certain foods have some naturally occurring Sodium in them but who has those every day?…

Mental Strength Trainer And Host Of The Mentally Strong People Podcast

Whether you’re tempted to give in to that craving for a cupcake, or you’re about to give up on your goals, perseverance isn’t easy. But before you blame your lack of God-given willpower and before you make an excuse for your less than stellar performance, consider this; it only takes a few minutes a day to build the mental muscle you need to reach your greatest potential.

Building mental strength is similar to building physical strength. Doing 50 push ups a day would only take a few minutes of your time, but doing it consistently would help you build a tremendous amount of upper body strength.

The same can be said with your mental muscle. In just a few minutes each day, you can train your brain to think differently, manage your emotions, and behave productively. With consistent exercise, you’ll build mental strength.

While there are many exercises that can help you grow stronger, here are three exercises that will help you build mental muscle in five minutes or less:

1. Identify three things you’re grateful for.

SO MUCH COULD BE SAID CONCERNING THE AVALANCHE OF PLASTIC WASTE FROM TAKEAWAY SHOPS THAT ENDS UP ON OUR BEACHES, IN PARKS AND OTHER PLACES, IN AUSTRALIA AND MUCH OF IT IS SINGLE USE PLASTICS. NOW THE SA GOVERNMENT IS STARTING TO STEP IN ON THAT, TO PROTECT OUR OCEAN AND AREAS FROM UNNECESSARY LANDFILL.

South Australia Becomes First State In The Country To Ban Single-Use Plastics

The South Australian parliament has passed laws banning single-use plastics but the measures will be delayed until next year because of COVID-19.

South Australia has become the first state in Australia to ban single-use plastics such as straws and cutlery.

But the introduction of the new laws will be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The measures were passed in parliament on Wednesday and also allow for other items to be progressively added to the banned list.

"There has been significant community and industry support for swift action on single-use plastic products with many households and businesses across the state already taking steps to remove them," Environment Minister David Speirs said.

"Our legislation at first bans single-use plastic items like straws, cutlery and beverage stirrers and outlines a framework for adding more items in the future.…

YES THIS HAS TO BE GOOD NEWS HEY? INSTEAD OF THROWING SO MUCH PLASTIC INTO OUR PRECIOUS OCEAN WATER, LET'S RUN WITH THIS! RECENTLY, WE CAME UP WITH A MARVELOUS WAY TO USE GLASS BOTTLES INSTEAD OF DISPENSING OF THEM AND NOW THE USA HAS COME UP WITH A GREAT IDEA FOR PET PLASTIC BOTTLES. BRAVO!

Hopefully This Catches On In Australia. We Now Have Concrete Bricks Made With A Composition Of Recycled Glass Bottles. Maybe Our Countries Should Negotiate With These Inventions Hey?

Engineering professors and students at the University of California – Riverside have demonstrated a method they hope could “solve two of Earth’s biggest problems in one stroke” – recycling plastic waste such as plastic bottles into a nanomaterial useable in batteries.

As battery storage becomes an ever more present necessity – used in large-scale energy storage projects through to electric vehicles – sourcing materials traditionally necessary to make batteries are straining, and more sustainable alternatives are necessary.

Transforming PET Plastic Bottles Into Energy - Protecting Oceans

Two engineering professors at the University of California Riverside, Mihri and Cengiz Ozkan, have been working with their students to create improved energy storage materials from a range of sources, trying everything from glass bottles to beach sand, Silly Putty to portabello mushrooms.…
