Opera Singers Have Been Hosting Weekly Concerts in Their Driveway to Bring Neighbors Together

Story From Good News Network - May 2020

A South Carolina couple has been using their musical talents to bring their community together for weekly street concerts—all while respecting social distancing guidelines.

Leah Edwards and her husband Dimitri Pitta are professional opera singers who have been setting up shop at the end of their driveway in Mount Pleasant to perform classical and contemporary opera pieces for their neighbors.

Not only have their performances served as a source of entertainment for the neighborhood, they have also helped to keep the community close together during the novel coronavirus lockdowns.

“We’re practicing, they say they can hear us anyways, so we said why not take it to the driveway and make it a concert,” Edwards told WCBD. “It gets everyone out, checking on each other and get some breath of fresh air and make music.”…

GLAD TO KNOW AT LEAST ONE PROFESSOR IS INTERESTED TO STUDY NATURE'S WAY AND PROMOTING HIS FINDINGS. ORGANIC GARDENERS HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL US THESE THINGS FOR YEARS. COMMERCIAL FARMERS MAKE THEM OUT TO BE THE 'ODD BODS' SO TO SPEAK. TODAY'S TOXIC AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY HAS MUCH TO ANSWER FOR - THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BUILDUP OF CHEMICALS IN PEOPLE'S SYSTEMS, THEIR BODY CANNOT HANDLE - ALONG WITH BIG PHARMA AND THE COMMERCIAL FOOD INDUSTRY. HONESTLY, RIGHT THERE IS THE REASON WHY MOST PEOPLE ARE SICK. IT'S NOT NORMAL, IT'S CONSIDERED TO BE BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T KNOWN ANY DIFFERENT BUT OUR FOR-PARENTS DID AND THEY WERE WELL. TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS, WE CANNOT IMPROVE ON NATURE - WE'RE BEST WORKING WITH HER - NOW, TO SEE WHY. SHALL WE GO?

COMPANION planting of flowers near vegetable crops is nothing new but a researcher is aiming to more fully document the benefits on a commercial level.

Charles Sturt University and Hort Innovation research is further exploring how the planting of flowers within vegetable crops encourages beneficial insects which keep pests in check.

The research aims to help vegetable growers adopt integrated pest management (IPM) methods that are simple, cost-effective, fit with mainstream farming, and reduce costs.

I JUST LOVE THE EXPRESSIONS ON THESE PEOPLE - AT A TIME WHEN 'CONTAGIOUS' HAS NOT BEEN SUCH A GOOD WORD (in recent months) THEY REFLECT A SENSE OF CONTAGIOUS JOY. HAVING EXPERIENCED A TIME OF SEVERE STRESS YEARS AGO, I BELIEVE IN THE POWER AND CONSOLATION OF HOPE. SO GLAD TO FIND THIS STORY, IT'S ONE OF OPTIMISM. DON'T MISS THIS!

$4 Billion Land Management Stimulus Backed By 70 Organisations

By Jamieson Murphy Jul 2020

A STIMULUS plan that would create up to 53,000 conservation and land management jobs has been backed by more than 70 agriculture and environmental organisations.

The plan proposes to take people who have lost their jobs due to COVID-19, particularly in regional areas, and redeploy them into temporary roles doing practical work on both private and public land such as weeding, removing invasive pests, planting trees, building National Park infrastructure and repairing river banks.

A report by Ernst and Young found that if the government invested $4 billion into a national conservation and land management program, it could raise economic output by about $5.7 billion, reduce welfare costs by $620 million and generate 53,000 jobs over the next four years.…

By Sarah McPhee

A single mother has shared an “incredible” act of kindness that brought her to tears after she purchased a second-hand car.

Jen Willis, from the Victorian town of Daylesford, northwest of Melbourne, bought the vehicle privately last week but soon discovered the owner had left her a heartwarming surprise.

A white envelope containing three $50 notes had been tucked between the sun visor and roof.

“This is a random act of kindness,” the note reads.

“Please use to spoil your family in a way that makes you happy.

“Just felt it on my heart to do this for you, in what sounded like a challenging time for you.”

Ms Willis said it was “such a beautiful random act of kindness” to be gifted.

“With only one adult now in our household here in Daylesford, I did a two for one with our cars and sold our Prado and Suzuki Swift to a dealer and bought a Subaru Outback privately and when I pulled down the sun visor as I went to drive my new car home, this fell into my lap,” she wrote on Facebook.…

So far this year, it seems evident to me that people in USA where Diet Standards are Very Poor, leading to Compromised Immune Systems and some third world countries where people are impoverished and lacking Vital Nutrients and Antioxidants to build Immunity, more people without a doubt are affected by these modern time Viruses in greater numbers. And also where little restraint is practiced when it comes to protective measures like Distancing we have practiced so well in Australia and New Zealand, recording good results and making us the first countries to be breaking free of this life threatening virus.

Belgium Scientists efforts to find Strong Antibodies – in place of strong Medical Drugs – I hope you can see a Vital Principle here, that ‘Wonder Drugs’ are not the Answer to the Health Needs of Today and they actually weren’t years ago, in the first place.…

"Children Who Are Brought Up With Laughter Cope Well With Life"

This is taken from a Special  Feature  Page  on my natural health website concerning ALL  the  Benefits  of  Laughter  - I  call this phenomena revealed by Heart Specialists, Neuroscientists, Psychologists and Various Physicians (collectively) the CHEMISTRY OF LAUGHTER. I've gleaned the following Information from various sources of research. LAUGHTER IS GOOD for your MORALE and also your IMMUNE SYSTEM.........It Releases Endorphins in your body that are "Feel Good Chemicals"  It can be a sure weapon against stress and if practiced regularly - as part of your Lifestyle - it can help to prevent and sometimes relieve Stress Related conditions.

Laughter Clears your Emotions and helps to Sharpen your Mental Faculties. Laughter is fun and it’s good for you. It makes others feel good. It provides physical, emotional, and psychological benefits.

It was discovered some years ago that Children having Laughter in the Home, gives them better Coping Skills for future years when they grow up. It has been known to make some Kids quite Resilient.

Scientific Research reveals that LAUGHTER strengthens our cardiovascular functions; reduces stress hormones; improves circulation_ benefiting those with high blood pressure; has a boosting effect on the function of immune cells; releases Endorphins_ a feel good chemical that sometimes helps to lower pain levels; it oxygenates our body via the respiratory system_ this is very good for us; it also enhances our bio-chemistry! …

We all need to strengthen Family Bonds and relationships in a day and age that has it's challenges - essentially we are as strong as our Families and Friendships are and spiritually too. Speaking for myself, relating closely with our Creator and Jesus our Saviour, wins over religious duties and "church attendance"........

Family Bonding Together Is Really Good - Do This Often

I may share a little about that in other posts but do not wish to impose agendas on you. I have found many visitors to my Poem Website HERE like to view pages like those which are totally separate (they have many views and people have commented to me afterwards offline, saying they enjoy them). One person without any religious background said they "see things so much clearer"......

I have been asked if I will write more and I did not set out to do that.

HOME SCENE - SOME INSIGHTS

In this world we live in, so much is out to separate family members, since about 30+ years ago and to depersonalise relationships, with so much 'Tech This and Tech That' everything Tech.......Social…
