There are two people in my Family whose Mental Health has been seriously Affected through Poor Diet. One of them was trying to make ends meet financially. He made many meals with Pasta mostly, and a Slice of Bread with Vegemite (he used margarine instead of butter) for lunch and Cereal for breakfast. He also had LOTS of Coffee. After doing that for many months, he experienced a Full Swing Major Nervous Breakdown that commenced in a state of Psychosis. His Body AND his Brain were starved for Nutrients and as a part-time Natural Health Researcher, I felt his Myelin Sheaf had worn very thin (that is meant to be a protective lining that cushions our Nerve Cells) that was proven to be true. Since he has changed to a much Healthier Diet he does much better and finds some enjoyment in Life because it has helped him to improve his mental outlook and perspectives. He also avoids thinking about Negative things. The other Family Member was Seriously Affected after having an addiction to Confectionary that put her off a lot of good food. An absolute "No No" because Sugar (and Synthetic Sweeteners) are Very Bad for Our Brain.…

10 Meaningful Habits To Support Your Mental Health – Everyone Needs To Do These
EVERYONE NEEDS TO LOOK AFTER THEIR MENTAL HEALTH IN THIS STRESSFUL AGE. THIS BENEFITS OUR PHYSICAL HEALTH AS WELL. MENTAL HEALTH and PHYSICAL HEALTH ARE MORE CLOSELY RELATED THAN WE REALIZE BECAUSE FOR A VERY LONG TIME EVERYTHING WAS THOUGHT OF (and treated) AS SEPARATE BY THE MEDICAL PROFESSION BUT NOT SO BY NATURAL PRACTITIONERS LIKE NATUROPATHS - THEY SEE THINGS AS INTERRELATED. LETS SEE WHAT THIS WRITER FROM Positive.News HAS TO OFFER US, SHALL WE?
1. Move: it’s a mental health super booster
Your mind as well as your body get a mood-boosting workout from physical activity. It releases feelgood endorphins, reduces stress hormones and aids relaxation. Research shows it can be 1.5 times more effective than counselling and medication at managing depression. Short, high intensity exercise works best, but experts say all forms of physical activity are beneficial – and no one’s suggesting you have to sign up to a marathon unless you want to.
“Create opportunities to move,” suggests psychologist and wellness expert Lee Chambers. “Station things further away, park further away from the entrance and take the stairs. Let the blood flow to your brain.”
2. Sleep: don’t sideline the shut-eye
Just as important as physical activity is getting enough rest.…

Our Health is as Good as the Food we Eat. And so is Our Brain. Did you know that Mental Health Disorders mostly start from long-standing Nutritional Deficiencies and also Poor Gut Health because our Neurotransmitters are present in our Gut - not just our Brain - so Both our Gut and our Brain Relate Closely together. A It is the Same with Brain Power. Everyone talks about Brainpower, but you don't just stay on whatever Foods you have and take a "Brain Power" Supplement each day. You need to build up a Nutritional Profile of Brain Friendly Foods; stay off of Sugar AND Synthetic Sweeteners that are Bad for your Body and Brain. So are Canola and Cheap Nasty Veggie Oils - they mess with your Metabolism causing Lethargy and Brain Fog in many people, and are noted for Mental Blanks (even with young people) because they are Toxic to Body and Brain Cells. Aim for Genuine Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Cold Pressed Coconut Oil. They're both beneficial for our Brain. Polyunsaturated Oils are based on Flawed Science and the ignorance prevails. Don't let that be You.
Our Body and our Brain also benefit much from 7-8 Hours of restful Sleep a Night AND 120 Minutes of Walking (collectively) each Week.…
Adding Color To Your Plate May Lower Risk Of Cognitive Decline
Natural Health Article from Science Daily
A new study shows that people who eat a diet that includes at least half a serving per day of foods high in flavonoids like strawberries, oranges, peppers and apples may have a 20% lower risk of cognitive decline. The research is published in the July 28, 2021, online issue of Neurology the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology. The study looked at several types of flavonoids, and found that flavones and anthocyanins may have the most protective effect.
Flavonoids are naturally occurring compounds found in plants and are considered powerful antioxidants. It is thought that having too few antioxidants may play a role in cognitive decline as you age.
"There is mounting evidence suggesting flavonoids are powerhouses when it comes to preventing your thinking skills from declining as you get older," said study author Walter Willett, MD, DrPH, of Harvard University in Boston, Mass. "Our results are exciting because they show that making simple changes to your diet could help prevent cognitive decline."

Dancing or Brisk Walks Can Slash Diabetes Risk By 74%, Even When it Runs in the Family
By Good News Network -Jun 2023
Dancing or going for brisk walks can slash the risk of diabetes by three quarters, according to a huge new study.
Those who managed more than an hour of moderate-to-vigorous exercise per day were 74 percent less likely to be diagnosed, compared to sedentary peers.
The protection even applied to genetically-predisposed patients when the disease runs in the family. In fact, their susceptibility fell further than individuals at low genetic risk who were inactive.

“People are unable to control their genetic risk and family history,” said the study’s senior author Professor Melody Ding, of Sydney University. “But this finding provides promising and positive news that through an active lifestyle, one can fight off much of the excessive risk for type 2 diabetes.”
The Australian team tracked 59,325 adults from the UK Biobank—a database holding detailed information about the genes and health of around half a million Brits.
Participants wore accelerometers on their wrist at the start and were then followed for up to seven years.
It is the first study to show that genetic risk of type 2 diabetes, linked to unhealthy lifestyles, can be counteracted by exercise.…

HOW DO I STOP THINKING OF THINGS OVER AND OVER - LIKE A GEAR STICK THAT REFUSES TO SHIFT? SEE IF THESE HELP YOU. MANY PEOPLE RUMINATE - IT MAY HELP YOU TO KNOW THAT.
Tips to Help You Stop Ruminating
By Erica Cirino from Healthline.Com
What is rumination?
Has your mind ever been filled with one single thought, or a string of thoughts, that just keep repeating… and repeating… and repeating themselves?
The process of continuously thinking about the same thoughts, which tend to be sad or dark, is called rumination.
A habit of rumination can be dangerous to your mental health, as it can extend or intensify depression as well as impair your ability to think and process emotions. It may also cause you to feel isolated and can, in reality, push people away.
What causes ruminating?
People ruminate for a variety of reasons. According to the American Psychological Association opens in a new window, some common reasons for rumination include:
belief that by ruminating, you’ll gain insight into your life or a problem
having a history of emotional or physical trauma
facing ongoing stressors that can’t be controlled
Ruminating is also common in people who possess certain personality characteristics, which include perfectionism, neuroticism, and an excessive focus on one’s relationships with others.…

To Reduce The Harmful Health Effects Of Sitting, Take A 5-Minute Walk Every Half-Hour
By Andy Corbley -Jan 18, 2023
A study looking to find the bare minimum of physical activity required to prevent the well documented ill effects of continuous sitting determined that 5 minutes of walking every half hour was enough.
By looking at blood sugar levels and blood pressure, two important metrics of heart disease, the scientists were able to determine how much daily movement was required to get back to equilibrium from the negative effects of sitting.
Picture if you will, an office worker. Waking in the morning in time for coffee and perhaps breakfast with perhaps a spouse or perhaps children, the day begins with at least some sitting. Then climbing into one’s car, the office worker drives in a seated position to the office. There, between lunch and desk work, the worker spends 8-9 hours sitting before returning home, sitting in their car. Once home, they likely sit down for dinner, and perhaps a bit of television or reading; both done from the seated position.
Sitting time for adults in industrialized nations has been climbing for decades, and it increases the risk for all the diseases typical of those nations, i.e.…
