CANOLA and 'VEGETABLE OILS' and MARGARINE GO THROUGH A TOXIC CHEMICAL PROCESS and are Not the 'Healthy Products' the Manufacturers claim they are. Please Read!

Please read the other Post I am writing parallel to this one HERE about REAL FOODS. You will want to "Side with Nature" when you read the following. I am committed to Caring about the "Health & Happiness" of Australians and think you have the right to know these things. If you are an advocate for Low-Fat Diets and Polyunsaturated Oils, hopefully you will think again after reading about the benefits of NUTRITIOUS OILS that offer much more than Cheap Veggie Oil and Canola Manufacturers claim to give you.

The claims are found to be false and misleading. They promise to “save you from cholesterol” and overweight……… the Oils high in Monounsaturates like Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Macadamia Oil and Avocado Oil are the ones that help to keep our LDL Cholesterol Level Low, not the Polyunsaturates. And people put on weight with them anyway but no-one thinks about that. Modern Day Charlatans are many in the Food Industry - highly skilled in crafting lies to get your confidence - they have no conscience, so we really do need to be careful.…

Have you ever woken up to bright morning skies feeling energized? A big reason for your mood is the high-intensity blue light coming from the sun. Among the visible light spectrum, blue wavelengths have the most powerful effect on your sleep-wake internal body clock.

Both natural and artificial blue light can boost your alertness and mental sharpness. But too much of it may keep you awake when your body needs to wind down.

Sunlight

Need help waking up in the morning? Open the blind or get outside to feel more alert.

Light From Screens

Their “blue” light has a powerful effect on your brain. Turn them out about 2hrs before bed.

Artificial Light

Bright lights after dark signal our brain to wake up. In the evening. In the evening. Use dim light, and block outside light.

Block Out Light To Get Good Sleep

How Blue Light At Night Hurts Sleep

Your eyes aren’t good at blocking blue light. So almost all of it passes straight through to the back of your retina, which helps your brain translate light into images.

Exposure to all colors of light helps control your natural sleep-and-wake cycle, or circadian rhythm.…

DON'T MISS IT. THIS IS A GOOD INITIATIVE BECAUSE MANY PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS START FROM A VERY POOR DIET THAT'S LACKING IN VITAL NUTRIENTS. OUR BODY AND BRAIN CAN ONLY TAKE SO MANY INSULTS BEFORE THEY BREAK DOWN IN SOME WAY. CONGRATS TO THESE CARING WORKERS!

Good Old-Fashioned Produce To The Rescue - Nutrition Pays!

Since 2019, the VeggieRx produce prescription program in Chicago has offered food-insecure residents with diet-related illnesses free local produce every week. Patients receive prescriptions from Primary Care Physicians and Dietitians, and can pick up a weekly bag of fruits and veggies, as well as taking Cooking Lessons.

The program operates in the North Lawndale area of Chicago, where the diabetes mortality rate is 62 percent higher than the national average, and it played a key role in helping residents get access to fresh, whole foods before the pandemic. Over the last five months, however, it has seen a surge in demand.

“Prior to COVID, we had about 35 to 70 weekly boxes across our three locations — and now the sites are [serving] upwards of 130 to 160 boxes per week,” says Kris Delatorre, an urban farmer at Windy City Harvest, the organization that grows produce for the VeggieRx program at three farms throughout the city.…

Another great reason to keep up physical exercise has now been added to the list. Several studies have provided evidence that regular physical exercise reduces the risk of age-related cataracts.

Regular Exercise Proves Beneficial For Eyesight

Australian and Chinese researchers analysed data from six different studies of more than 171,000 people looking at how exercise reduces oxidative damage in the eye. The studies included 19,173 cases of cataract. Participants from America, the UK and Sweden were followed for six to 12 years.

The research found that exercise appears helpful in cataract prevention, as well as being beneficial for other eye conditions including possibly reducing risks of developing glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration (AMD), plus delaying progression of AMD and diabetic retinopathy.

Researchers found a 10 per cent reduction in age-related cataracts among people who engaged in regular physical activity such as walking and cycling. And they said the risk of developing cataracts could potentially decrease by two per cent for every hour of cycling or jogging.

The researchers from the University of South Australia and Xi’an Jiatong University, China, published their findings in the International Journal of Ophthalmology.…

There are many products on the market that promise to relieve, control, manage or attack allergies. These products work by interfering with biochemical responses that happen in the body. One example is antihistamines.

These medications may relieve symptoms by stopping histamine from being released by certain cells in the body.

Though antihistamines are the most common drugs used to treat allergic symptoms, they are not short of side effects. A major side effect is sleepiness. Driving a car or working equipment is not suggested while under the influence of antihistamines.

Further common side effects are dryness of the mouth, nose and throat, blurry vision, faintness, loss of appetite, biliousness, upset stomach, low blood pressure, headache, anxiety, agitation, sleeplessness and loss of coordination.

With all those side effects, you may be looking for other options?

Continue reading to discover my top natural antihistamine foods with benefits…

As a naturopath with 15 years of experience, I have a special interest in the treatment of allergic conditions. I love using natural remedies and food.

Histamine is a biochemical that the body makes on its own. We can also eat diets that are rich in histamine.…

A Return To Nature – Now Referred To As ECO Therapy

Summer often means spending time outdoors, swimming, camping, taking walks, and just enjoying the great outdoors. These leisure activities are fun and good for you.

That's right. They're good for you!

ECO Nature Therapy Is Good For The Soul

Psychologists in the new field of Eco-Therapy believe that spending time outdoors is important for our health. Connecting more with nature can help improve depression, lower blood pressure, improve self-esteem, help with impulse control, decrease post-operative recovery time, and encourage new social behaviors in patients with dementia, according to ecotherapyheals.com and the book Ecotherapy: Healing with Nature in Mind.

Eco-therapists claim that eco-therapy can be especially beneficial for those with depression, anxiety, stress or other mental illnesses. Depression is the most common psychiatric disorder, and the incidence of depression has increased every year during the past century. Now, one in six people will experience a depressive episode in their lifetime.

Traditional treatment for depression has focused on medications and individual or group therapy.

Now, Eco-therapists suggest that benefit can be gained with activities such as gardening, walking or other outdoor exercise, or spending time with animals.…

Cholesterol is Good for your Heart. Yes that's right, your Heart needs Cholesterol. The tide is changing on the Heart Health Scene, at least for those who are better informed and I'm here to let you know.

New Insights On Heart Health And Cholesterol

You may be pleased to hear that some leading Heart Specialists and Surgeons and MDs have been practicing a totally different approach to things than the Cholesterol Scare Campaign we have been accustomed to for a few decades now. Did you know the average GP/MD is mistaken and 'Specialists' too? Yes, it has now been proven to be a flawed theory. A mistake that was made a long time ago and never corrected. Sadly, most Specialists don't want to know because there's big profit that depends on your ignorance and mine.

Heart disease is a growing concern and heart attacks are a leading cause of death of both men and women, with one person having a heart attack around every three minutes. Could the No-Fat Low-Fat Diets and Statins have anything to do with it? My word yes!

You’ve probably made a few references to your inner child before.

“I’m channeling my inner child,” you might say, while jumping off swings at the park, chasing your roommate through the house, or diving into the pool with your clothes on.

Finding Your Inner Child - A New Discovery

Many trace the concept of an inner child to psychiatrist Carl Jung, who described a child archetype in his work. He linked this internal child to past experiences and memories of innocence, playfulness, and creativity, along with hope for the future.

Other experts describe this inner child as an expression of not just your child self, but your lived experience of all life stages. The inner child is also noted as a source of strength, since early experiences can play a significant part in your development as an adult.

This can go both ways, though: When childhood experiences negatively affect you, your inner child may continue to carry these wounds until you address the source.

“Each one of us has an inner child, or way of being,” says Dr. Diana Raab, a research psychologist and author. “Getting in touch with your inner child can help foster well-being and bring a lightness to life.”…
