WE CAN USE THIS TIME TO ADD VALUE TO OUR LIVES RATHER THAN LETTING THE QUALITY DIMINISH. HEY? WHEN WE ARE WORKING MORE, WE WISH WE HAD MORE TIME TO SPEND AT HOME - WE CAN TURN THIS TIME INTO SOMETHING POSITIVE - WE COULD USE THIS TIME TO DEVELOP NEW INTERESTS, WHATEVER.

Enjoy The Little Things - There Are So Many Of Them!!!

Start the day with a grateful heart. In the day or evening
Think of…. and Engage in these....

Nice things from the day or week before (no matter how small, it’s the little things that make up life).

Something you are looking forward to.

The advantages there are to having more time available.

Maybe learning something new over YouTube Videos (a new skill or hobby).

Ways you can make the coming weeks happy ones instead of sad.

Ways you can make your rooms nicer or inviting so you actually like being home.

How many negative thoughts you can change.

A negative thought pattern you can exchange for a better one.

Things you can feel glad about instead of sad.…

“NO, I DON’T WANT SOY WITH THAT”

Diet Shakes With Soy (added) Bread With Soy, Schnitzel With Soy, Burgers With Soy, Quiche With Soy, Chorizo With Soy Etc Get The Picture? And Everyone Says “YES!”……….”We Don’t Want Soy!” It’s In Almost Everything You Can Think Of. Yes Anything You Can Imagine, If You Haven’t Checked The Packets, Cans And Labels. And We Should Tell Them “NO! I’m Not Buying That”……..Your Best Way To Protest is: Speak Up And Leave The Products On The Shelves (this is more effective in numbers, the more of us the better, don’t wait for someone else). Tell The Cafes, Bakeries And Restaurants “NO SOY”……. Give These Manufacturers, Shops And Venues A Hard Time, So They Have To Take Notice Of Us. Enough IS Enough. They’ve Placed Enough Impositions On Us (for convenience, to cut corners) Lets Impose Our Standards On Them – We’re Far Too Passive, We Didn’t Speak Up. Friends, We Need To Do This.

I Will Give You Enough Reasons To In This Post. Is SOY Healthy? NO! One Of The Major Mistakes Made By Professionals And Health Stores Alike And Now We Have This Problem.…

Was there some way you felt unnoticed in your upbringing? Some of us experienced that with Teachers, an Aunty and Uncle, a big Brother or Sister but others have had rough beginnings with their Parents - believe it or not - who took very little notice of them and did not show much affection. This is something I've felt very passionate about since the 80's.

If you were neglected in some way as a child - unnoticed or lacking affection - I really feel for you because I experienced a sudden change at a young age of a different but similar nature, that left me decidedly empty and unfulfilled. Parents, please give each child your best in life. You may not have much else to give them materially speaking but please give them the "Best of You!" Lots of hugs, some undivided interest each day and some laughter in the Home are the Best Gifts and Start in Life you can give them - other things are not so important.

You need to apologise to your kids and change your ways if you don't.…

An interesting question. I remember standing at a Bakery counter about 20 years ago when I bought a quiche as did someone next to me. We asked for a little salt to be sprinkled on them and the reply was, they can't do that, they don't have any salt shaker in the place and they don't use salt. Talk about extremists, they were determining what we could or could not do, based on medical blurb I call paranoia.

At that time, "No Salt" was being promoted - many people joined in the craze and some Cafes weren't placing salt shakers on their tables anymore. Being a Researcher, I commented to the other person that I had worked out about 10 things that can go wrong with our health if we don't have salt in our diet, some weeks before and listed them by memory to her. 5 related to Sodium deficiency and 5 related to Chloride deficiency. Imagine, no salt with egg? Yuck!

I've heard and read the other side of the argument that made some sense to me 1. that certain foods have some naturally occurring Sodium in them but who has those every day?…

HAS ANYONE OUT THERE NOTICED THAT CERTAIN SITUATION OR RELATIONAL THOUGHTS HAVE A LIFESPAN OF 2-3 DAYS BEFORE THEY WEAR OFF AND GIVE US SOME PEACE? I HAVE SOMETIMES THROUGH THE YEARS. AND WHEN YOU'RE AWARE OF THIS, YOU CAN BIDE YOUR TIME AND RELAX, KNOWING MOST TIMES, IT WILL GO AWAY OF IT'S OWN ACCORD IF WE DON'T INDULGE IN THOSE THOUGHTS AND TIE OURSELVES UP IN KNOTS. IT'S HELPFUL TO KNOW HOW SHORT THE LIFE-SPAN OF THOSE THOUGHTS (like an obsession) WILL BE. ALSO, YOU CAN FIND WAYS OF DEALING WITH BOTHERSOME THOUGHTS (on a certain day) RIGHT HERE. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THESE AND WILL SHOW YOU WHAT I FOUND.

Ways To Let Go Of Stuck Thoughts

By Therese J. Borchard  from Psychcentral.Com

Stuck thoughts… the brick walls that form a prison around your mind. The harder you try to get rid of them, the more powerful they become.

I’ve been wrestling with stuck thoughts ever since I was in fourth grade. The content or nature of the obsessions have morphed into many different animals over the course of 30-plus years, but their intensity and frequency remains unchanged.

Here are some strategies I use when they make a surprise visit, techniques that help me free myself from their hold.…

4th January 2021

Welp, after what felt like the longest year ever, it's 2021. And with the new year often comes resolutions — maybe more so this time round.

Perhaps you want to lose some of those "corona-kilos" or simply maintain the good hygiene behaviours drummed into us during the pandemic.

There are ways to develop good habits — and make them stick — that are backed by scientific evidence.

And it all begins — where else? — in the brain. But first: what even are habits, and why do we need them?

We Really Are Creatures Of Habit

A substantial chunk of daily life is made up of habitual actions. This is the stuff where once you get going, you pretty much run on autopilot.

A classic example is driving to work (back when regular commuting was a thing). You might remember getting in your car and then suddenly, you're pulling into your office's car park.

But the first few times you drove to work were a different story. They required more brain power: planning and memorising the best route to your destination, paying attention to your surroundings and thinking harder about your actions and their consequences.…

The COVID-19 pandemic has been especially hard on elderly people, a Senior Home in Brazil Creates ‘Hug Tunnel’ So Visitors Can Embrace Their Loved Ones

By Good News Network -Jun 24, 2020

Many have been advised to strictly adhere to stay-at-home orders and social distancing guidelines.

For those living in care facilities, this has meant that friends and loved ones cannot even visit them in person.

But, a care home in Brazil has come up with a creative solution, allowing seniors to connect with their loved ones while still keeping them safe from infection.

For 28 seniors living in isolation since March 17 at the Três Figueiras home in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, Mother’s Day came and went without any visitors—and the loving staff noticed that spirits were at an all-time low.…

Mental Strength Trainer And Host Of The Mentally Strong People Podcast

Whether you’re tempted to give in to that craving for a cupcake, or you’re about to give up on your goals, perseverance isn’t easy. But before you blame your lack of God-given willpower and before you make an excuse for your less than stellar performance, consider this; it only takes a few minutes a day to build the mental muscle you need to reach your greatest potential.

Building mental strength is similar to building physical strength. Doing 50 push ups a day would only take a few minutes of your time, but doing it consistently would help you build a tremendous amount of upper body strength.

The same can be said with your mental muscle. In just a few minutes each day, you can train your brain to think differently, manage your emotions, and behave productively. With consistent exercise, you’ll build mental strength.

While there are many exercises that can help you grow stronger, here are three exercises that will help you build mental muscle in five minutes or less:

1. Identify three things you’re grateful for.…
